CPD has been closely associated with the South Asian Centre for Policy Studies (SACEPS) since its inception. CPD hosted SACEPS from 2002-2005. In 2005 SACEPS office was shifted to Kathmandu, Nepal. SACEPS's objective is to promote and stimulate, through research and dialogues, regional cooperation in such key areas as trade, investment, energy, transport and communication and also other areas of common interests to SAARC countries.
