Human development and social protection remains a core focus in CPD's research portfolio. CPD has been undertaking various research projects under the theme both independently and in collaboration with other relevant organizations and development partners. Some of the recent studies carried out by CPD in this area focused on such issues as gender dimension of trade liberalisation in Bangladesh, measuring economic impact of spousal violence, and macroeconomic implications of social safety nets.
