The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a recognised global think-tank, intends to recruit a number of professionals who are interested to pursue an intellectually challenging research career that demands competence, commitment and creativity.

 

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
 

This is a top-level research position at CPD which demands excellent academic track record and leadership ability in supervising research teams. Desirably below 45 years, the candidate will have a PhD in Economics from a reputed university. A minimum of six (6) publications in peer-reviewed journals or chapters of books or monographs brought out by a reputed publishing house will be required. S/he will have an experience of at least ten (10) years in the area of research, teaching or development policy making.

 

A remuneration package starting from Taka 120,000 per month with other admissible benefits will be offered to the selected candidate. Actual compensation package will be based on credentials of the candidate. Following the probationary period of one year, successful candidate will be eligible for all benefits under CPD’s service rules including medical, gratuity, in-house loans and other admissible allowances. Research Fellow (RF)

 

The candidate will be a mid-level researcher, desirably below 40 years, with excellent academic track record and supervising ability. S/he will have a PhD in Economics (any specialisation), or an advanced academic degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics or related subjects, from a reputed university. The candidate will have a minimum of two (2) publications in peer-reviewed journals or chapters of books or monographs brought out by a reputed publishing house. S/he will have an academic experience of at least five (5) years in the area of research, teaching or development policy making.

 

The remuneration package will start from Taka 80,000 per month with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be based on credentials of the candidate. Following the probationary period of one year, successful candidate will be eligible for all benefits under CPD’s service rules including medical, gratuity, in-house loans and other admissible allowances. Senior Research Associate (SRA)

 

The ideal candidate will have a Post Graduate/Masters degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics or Statistics. Four first divisions/classes in relevant subject or a minimum CGPA of 3.75 is required. Successful candidate for this position will have at least two (2) years of effective service experience in an academic position. Requirements may be relaxed for candidates with foreign degree and/or significant publications.

 

A gross salary in the range of Taka 45,000 - 60,000 per month will be offered along with other admissible benefits to be fixed on the basis of competencies. [Application Procedure].

Research Associate (RA)

Applicants will have a Post Graduate/Masters degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Statistics or Business Administration. Four first divisions/classes in relevant subject or a minimum CGPA of 3.75 is required which can be relaxed in case of foreign Masters Degree/publication(s) in recognised journals/specialised job experience. The candidate must have good analytical ability, excellent drafting skill in English, strong communication skill and high computer literacy.

 

Gross salary is in the range of Taka 35,000 - 45,000 per month, with other admissible benefits. [Application Procedure].

Statistical Officer (SO)

This position is equivalent to the Research Associate position at CPD. The candidate will have a Masters degree in Statistics from a reputed university. The task will involve accessing official data, preparation of survey design and maintenance of CPD database. S/he will be the focal point for all empirical data and information for CPD researchers. Successful candidates with demonstrated interest will have an opportunity to participate in CPD’s research programme as well. It is expected that the candidate will have an understanding of the broader economic issues and high computer literacy.

 

Gross salary for this position will be in the range of Taka 35,000 - 45,000 per month, with other admissible benefits. [Application Procedure].

Programme Associate (Project Based)

A Masters degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Statistics, International Relations, Business Administration or Public Administration with at least three first divisions/classes or a minimum CGPA of 3.5 is required for this position. CPD will offer a remuneration in the range of Taka 20,000 - 30,000 per month for this position. [Application Procedure].

 

Research Intern

 

The candidate will have a Masters degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or other Social Sciences (International Relations, Public Administration) with at least three first classes or CGPA of at least 3.50 / two first classes. Those awaiting Masters result may also apply.

An allowance of Tk. 10,000 per month will be offered to an Intern. Interns will be recruited for 2-3 months initially and based on their performance, they may be offered the post of Programme/Research/Dialogue Associates at CPD. Interns will be expected to provide support to the core research and dialogue teams at CPD. [Application Procedure].
