The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading civil society think-tank in South Asia, is planning to recruit a number of qualified professionals who are interested to pursue an intellectually challenging research career that demands commitment, initiative and creativity. Professionals with specialisation in Agricultural Economics, Gender Studies and Fiscal Issues are particularly encouraged to apply for the posts of SRF and RF.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

This is a top-level research position at CPD which demands excellent academic track record and leadership ability in supervising research teams. Desirably below 45 years, the candidate will have a PhD degree from a reputed university and a minimum of six (6) publications in peer-reviewed journals or chapters of books or monographs brought out by a reputed publishing house will be required. S/he will have an experience of at least ten (10) years in the area of research, teaching or development policy making.

A remuneration package in the range of 120-150 thousand Taka per month with other admissible benefits will be offered to the selected candidate. Actual compensation package will be based on credentials of the candidate. Following the probationary period of one year, successful candidate will be eligible for all benefits under CPD’s service rules including medical, gratuity, in-house loans and other admissible allowances. Short-term engagement will also be considered.

Research Fellow (RF)

The candidate will be a mid-level researcher, desirably below 40 years, with excellent academic track record and supervising ability. S/he will have a PhD degree from a reputed university and a minimum of two (2) publications in peer-reviewed journals or chapters of books or monographs brought out by a reputed publishing house. S/he will have an academic experience of at least five (5) years in the area of research, teaching or development policy making.

The remuneration package in the range of 80-120 thousand Taka per month with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be based on credentials of the candidate. Following the probationary period of one year, successful candidate will be eligible for all benefits under CPD’s service rules including medical, gratuity, in-house loans and other admissible allowances. Short-term engagement will also be considered.

Senior Research Associate (SRA)

The ideal candidate will have a Post Graduate/Masters degree in Economics, Development Studies or Agricultural Economics from a reputed university. Four first divisions/classes or a minimum CGPA of 3.75 is required. Successful candidate for this position will have at least two (2) years of effective service experience in an academic position. Requirements may be relaxed for candidates with foreign degree and/or significant publications.

A gross salary in the range of 35-70 thousand Taka per month will be offered along with other admissible benefits to be fixed on the basis of competencies.

Research Associate (RA)

Applicants will have a Post Graduate/Masters degree in Economics, Development Studies or Agricultural Economics from a reputed university. Four first divisions/classes or a minimum CGPA of 3.75 is required which can be relaxed in case of foreign Masters Degree/publication(s) in recognised journals/specialised job experience. The candidate must have good analytical ability, excellent drafting skill in English, strong communication skill and high computer literacy.

A gross salary in the range of 25-50 thousand Taka per month will be offered along with other admissible benefits to be fixed on the basis of competencies.
